YMG Secsafe Ltd. establishes a Ship Security Management System containing a Ship Security Assessment and Ship Security Plan to identify and take preventive measures against security incidents and implement them on board and ashore.
The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) is a set of measures to enhance the security of ships and port facilities. It was developed in response to the perceived threats to ships and port facilities after the 9/11 attacks.
Our highly qualified and professional team provides 24/7 shore side support including an emergency ‘hotline’ and a designated Company Security Officer (CSO).
The ISPS Code is applicable to all commercially registered yachts 500 gross tonnage (GT) or above including those yachts that seek voluntary compliance to LYC 2/3.
The SHIP SECURITY ASSESSMENT is an essential and integral part of the process of developing and updating the ship security plan. The company security officer of YMG Secsafe Ltd. will conduct the ship security assessment according to predefined checklists which complies with the SOLAS provisions of chapter XI-2 and part A of the ISPS Code.
A Ship Security Plan (SSP) is being custom tailored for each yacht. This SSP contains all mandatory security procedures as required by the ISPS Code as descripted in Part A taking into account the guidance given in Part B. It also contains checklists and contingency plans for emergencies.
