The Marine environment is playing a more and more vital role in the maritime industry, and more specific on board vessels.
YMG Secsafe Ltd. wants to contribute to the elimination of the pollution of the seas and has therefore developed plans and manuals for ships to achieve this goal.
These plans and manuals are all included in our Full Yacht Safety System but can also be ordered as separate modules.
MARPOL Annex I Regulation 37 requires every oil tanker of 150 GT and above and every ship other than an oil tanker of 400 GT and above to carry a SOPEP. The scope of this Plan is to provide guidance on the actions to be taken if an oil spill has occurred or is likely to occur.
The purpose of the SEEMP is to establish a mechanism for vessels to improve their energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from ship operations. As of January 1, 2013, the SEEMP will be a regulatory requirement under International Maritime Organization (IMO) MARPOL Annex VI, Prevention of Air Pollution from Ships, for all vessels over 400 GT.
We provide independent consultancy services, expert advice and training on environmental legalisation that affects your yacht. Our team has extended knowledge of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) and other relevant regulations.
