The purpose of the SEEMP is to establish a mechanism for vessels to improve their energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from ship operations. As of January 1, 2013 the SEEMP will be a regulatory requirement under International Maritime Organization (IMO) MARPOL Annex VI, Prevention of Air Pollution from Ships, for all vessels over 400 GT.
SEEMP implementation and services
- YMG Secsafe Ltd. draws up a SEEMP for the vessel in conformity with the guidelines developed by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) together with the vessels crew.
- Monitor the EEM (Energy Efficiency Measures) and evaluate with vessels crew
- Monitor the consumption log sheets draw up by the ships crew
- Liaise with the Classification authority to obtain the international energy efficiency certificate
